Privacy Notice
How we handle personal information collected through this website.
Information we collect
When you place an order we collect the details needed to process and deliver it: your name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number where provided, and the contents of your order.
If you create an account on this website, we store your email address and authentication details through our managed authentication provider so you can sign back in.
We may also keep records of correspondence you send us about an order.
Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe. You enter your card or payment details directly with Stripe on its hosted checkout page.
BioSyntric does not receive or store raw card numbers, CVC codes or full payment credentials. We receive only the order confirmation data Stripe returns to us, such as payment status, amounts and the contact and shipping details you supplied.
Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy terms.
Accounts and hosting
This website and its account and order data are hosted on managed cloud infrastructure provided through our development and hosting platform, which includes a managed database and authentication service.
Access to that data is restricted to what is needed to operate the store.
How we use your information
To process, package and dispatch orders, and to provide shipment information to the carrier handling your delivery.
To respond to enquiries about an order and to keep records required for accounting and consumer-law purposes.
To assess whether an order is consistent with our research-use-only terms.
Disclosure
We disclose personal information only where it is necessary: to Stripe for payment processing, to the carrier handling your delivery, to our hosting and platform providers as part of running the website, and where required by law.
We do not sell personal information.
Cookies and analytics
This website uses local browser storage to remember the contents of your cart and to keep you signed in if you have an account. These are functional and are not used for advertising.
Stripe may set cookies on its own checkout pages as part of payment processing and fraud prevention.
Security and retention
We use the access controls and encryption provided by our payment, hosting and authentication providers, and we limit internal access to order data.
No online service can guarantee absolute security. We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfil the order and to meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete or de-identify them.
Access, correction and contact
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it. Use the contact method shown on this website or reply to your order confirmation correspondence.
If you are dissatisfied with how we handled a privacy matter, you may escalate it to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
